Indian Music in North Indian Style

Saturday 13th March in The Western Baths Club from 8pm.

Prakrutti Dutta & Vijay Kangutkar will give a recital on Saturday 13th March in The Western Baths Club from 8pm.

The concert will raise funds for education in Mr Iyengars native village of Bellur and a small Gurukhul.  The music is in the Druphad style, the oldest form of music which has strong links to yogic practice found in the Vedas. The vocal music is accompanied by the Pakhawaj, a two headed drum which pre-dates the more popular Tabla.

The concert will be held in a style common to this tradition, it will be intimate with seating on the floor & chairs. Numbers will be limited and you are asked to book early.

A contribution of £10-£20
